What age of child would enjoy a visit to Curious Minds Discovery Zone?

We find that children between crawling and 12 enjoy our museum the most.  

How long should we plan to visit?

Most families find that 2 hours gives the kids enough play time in the museum.

Do special programs or activities cost extra?

All exhibits and weekly programs are included in the cost of admission.  We do host other special programs at additional cost, which are advertised in advance and can be found on our Events page.

Is there food sold at the museum?

There is no food available at the museum.

Can we bring in our own food or drinks? 

We prefer that there not be any food or drinks in the exhibit area.  Any food brought into the museum must be consumed in the Program Room.

Is the museum accessible to people using wheelchairs?

Yes.  Accessible parking is available.  Please let our staff know if there is anything we can do to make your visit better.  

What forms of payment are accepted for admission?

At the museum we accept cash, checks, debit, and credit cards.  There is a 2.99% processing fee added to all debit/credit card transactions.

How is Curious Minds Discovery Zone funded?

The museum is a nonprofit organization that relies on the generous support of our community to allow us the opportunity to make a difference in children's lives in Southeast Kansas. Donations support the bulk of museum operations.  Funds from admissions, special events, and fundraisers also help to support the museum's day-to-day expenses.
